Well, Warhammer 8th was announced on Sunday through the GW newsletter. And whether good or bad, changes are coming. One of the changes is more objective based scenarios (think 40k). I thinking Games Day is a must this year.

We will see what the upcoming weeks will bring in official announces, with July being the big date.

For some great rumor-roundups, check out the folks at Warseer.

Hello Again!

It's been awhile and there are several things going on around here.

Jason played in the first round of the Hobby Center WH Tournament back in February. After all the painting and planning, he lost of a stinkin' Daemon player. His opponent had an awesome, complete conversion army of the Chaos worshippers.

Next weekend the both of us will be battling it out at The S.I.E.G.E. in Chattanooga, TN. It is a huge game conversion with anything for boards games, pen and paper RPG, and Warhammer. The three main fantasy events are a 2500 pts GT-style 3 round tournament, a team tourney, and a massive 3000 pts battle-royal. So, I've been painting like a dwarf miner digging for the lost treasure of Karak Eight Peaks ;). For me, the highlight is the team tourney where the ancestral grudge between the elder races will be buried in the hopes of placing at the top.

So, that's the long and short of it. Other than that then new Orc Boar Boyz and River Trolls from GW. Both packages are all plastic and cheaper than their predecessors. Maybe there is hope that GW will update more of their line the same way. Additionally, both of us have decided to pick up 40k (Jason again and me for the first time). Jason is championing the Imperial Guard and I will be brawling it out with the Space Wolves. Perhaps there will be some 40k talk around here (+1 Invulnerable Save for a new name...).

Oh, on March 20, at 12:11 PM, I became a proud father for the first time. It rocks!

See you around and wish us good dice rounds.
